I went back to HPM today, from about noon to 2:00. Full sun, little to no wind, temps in the upper 50s but felt warmer. I saw:
2 Henry's Elfin 2 Brown Elfin 2 Juvenal's Duskywing 2 American Lady 2 Mourning Cloak 3 Spring Azure 1 Cabbage White
Very happy to see the Henry's Elfins, both of which sat still long enough for some decent photos. Not my first time spotting them, but first time I got decent photos.
As yesterday, virtually all the action was at the top of the hill. The Cabbage Whites were at the bottom of the hill, one Brown Elfin on the plateau (today) and the Ladies were flying near the top of the switchback path up the hill.
I was at AGM from around 10:30 to 11:30, sunny and low/no wind, but temp was in the mid 50s. I saw:
1 Spring Azure
