The weather is a-changin' tomorrow, with a cold front forecast to arrive
around mid-day, with temperatures falling and north winds rising through
the afternoon. Nonetheless, Ginny & I will be there to lead the afternoon
butterfly walk, starting at 1:30 PM. We hope to see a few of you blow in
to join us.

Meanwhile, last week the park was covered in blooms - anacua, crucita,
lantana, etc. There just needed to be a few more butterfly species. Ginny
& John Yochum & I found 44 species, not bad, with skippers leading the way
again. We had Purple-washed, Long-tailed, Dorantes Longtail, Guava
Skipper, and a bunch of the usual grass skippers. We also had a
Silver-banded Hairstreak, Julia Heliconians, metalmarks, and a Tailed
Orange. Nothing too exciting, but lots to look at, and this week has seen
a number of nice butterflies from Brownsville to Falcon, so anything is
possible. See below for a complete list of what we found.
