Thank you Bill for your report.

Have not done any serious butterflying because of the cold and wet and
other commitfments, but the following have been observed here in north
Brazos County in the last 2 days:

Tiger Swallowtail -1
Red Admiral -1
Cloudless Sulphur - several
Southern Dogface - 4 or so
Goatweed Leafwing - several
Falcate Orangetip - 3 or 4 first observed these in late February
Gray Hairstreak -1
Checkered White -1
Common/White Checkered-Skipper -1
Black Swallowtail - 1

After the Frosted Elfin survey last year, went to Leon County today
attempting to relocate a few, but none were found. The Baptisia was
barely up, and was burned from the last freeze. I also noted that my
sightings last year were on Mar 14, so will check again next week.

Ready for spring!!!

Kurten, Brazos County
