This was the Western NC Chapter=E2=80=99s first scheduled walk of the seaso=
n and their first scheduled walk after Helene. Gravel was being dumped and =
leveled in the first section that we usually walk so we had to wait for the=
dump trucks to come out before we were allowed to drive through that secti=
on. We were able to get out on foot past that section and were able to walk=
it on our way out later in the day. Pete Dixon was our leader. In attendan=
ce were Mary Douglass, Tom Jones and Dave and Marty Kastner.
