On my way back to the Berkshires today from Essex County, I stopped at Bolton Flats WMA in Bolton, MA where I saw one Viceroy <https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/290813362> and two Cabbage Whites at the Pine Hill Rd. grasslands, alongside several pairs of Grasshopper Sparrows.
I also stopped at the absolutely stunning Bright Water Bog in Wendell, MA, where the Mountain Laurel was in full bloom- I cannot recommend a visit here highly enough! There I saw a Red-Spotted Purple, along with a Tiger Swallowtail (sp.) crossing the road on the way in.
I was very happy to see a Calico Pennant <https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/290813377> next to the boardwalk alongside countless White Corporals and Chalk-Fronted Corporals, as well as three Red Crossbills feeding on the developing cones of the tall White Pines overlooking the pond.
