Hopefully this delayed report is still interesting. Late in the morning of
July 4, I went to the Elm Circle section of Squannacook River WMA. There
were mats of cranberry seemingly in the height of their bloom, but only a
single bog copper. There were other sections that I didn't check though,
with one looking especially promising. Maybe the breeze was a factor?
Busy with many individuals and species from other pollinators like bees,
flies, etc though. The only other butterfly seen was a crossline skipper.

Cambridge, MA

P.S. Extralimital, but perhaps of interest with the request on this
listserve earlier this year: An easy to access public site in Southern NH
with good views of numerous two-spotted skippers. Contact me for more
info. I haven't seen this species in MA.
