Guilford County - Jamestown

A friend visited Monday in order to photograph Juniper Hairstreaks and we
were able to find 6, 4 in one location. Hairstreak numbers continue to be
good this year. There is no way for me to get an accurate count of
Red-banded Hairstreaks in the large mountain mint planting - large numbers
in constant motion. Skipper numbers are starting to go up along with a few
more skipper species showing up Monday and Tuesday, Ocola and a Tawny-edged
Skipper. Wednesday, I spent most of my time getting chores done ahead of
the expected rain, and we got almost 4 inches of rain last night.
