As part of the Carolina Butterfly Society Symposium, Jeff Pippen led a walk=
on the access road to Mason Farm Biological Reserve. We could not enter th=
e Reserve because of damage from a storm, but the access road had nice nect=
ar and host plants. There were 22 people in attendance. Because our symposiu=
m was open to non-members, we had several people new to butterfly identific=
ation, but Jeff explained the characteristics of each species that we found=
and made sure everyone was able to see and photograph it (unless it wouldn=
=E2=80=99t cooperate!).
