Recent reports from elsewhere in the region indicate that butterflies are hard to come by in December. To confirm that they are no more abundant in this area, we submit our only sightings in the past several weeks, which included about 6 excursions with Georgetown County, Sc. Huntington Beach State Park, Murrells Inlet, Georgetown County, SC December 19, 2025 9:15 - 11:30 am Temperature rose from 38F to 52F. Sunny with SW 10-20 mph. Two mornings 21-23F early in the week.
