This morning while doing yard work at my mother=E2=80=99s suburban habitat =
in
Charleston, I enjoyed seeing a super fresh and bright Giant Swallowtail.
The toothache trees are starting to leaf out but it was more interested in
nectaring at a couple of her wild Azalea bushes (one is more like a small
tree).

Other leps included a fresh Palamedes Swallowtail and a couple of Cloudless
Sulphurs.

Speaking of the Palamedes Swallowtail, her Red Bay tree is doing well after
dying and resprouting about a decade ago. It is about ten feet tall. I
think the fact that we make sure to very regularly water it with
city/chlorinated water has helped it survive the fungal infection.
