This Greenville County Nature Conservancy land has several miles of the Palmetto Trail. Warm, PC, and continued very dry, low humidity for over a week-
4 Spicebush Swallowtail 20+ E. Tiger Swallowtail 15+ Appalachian Tiger Swallowtail 3 unidentified dark Swallowtail 1 Pearl Crescent 1 Carolina Satyr 5 Silver-spotted Skipper 20+ Juvenal's Duskywing 6 unid Duskwing
Fewer Tiger Swallowtails puddling this week than a week ago, so fewer Appalachians photographed and ID'd. The many flying Tigers nearby are impossible to ID (by me). If you go to Blue Wall Preserve looking for them, look under the bridge that crosses Vaughn Creek, 1100' ASL, where the puddling is near the stream. Doug Inman, SC
