First major showing of skippers of the year. Most skippers and cloudywings
were on one large patch of Self Heal (Prunella, first time seen this year).
Almost as many skippers and all large butterflies were on the first Red
Thistles to bloom (<5% of buds open, peak will be during the next two weeks) -
scattered along the route. Zabulon and Confused Cloudywing were on a planted
field, perhaps Wild Radish.
