Folks, below are observations from this past weekend in the mountains. The = Cataloochee Valley was exploding with butterflies, but relatively few that = stopped to nectar or puddle. Thanks to Harry L for the ID help. This trip i= ncluded a handful of lifers for me (in bold), including some relatively com= mon mountain leps that were nonetheless overdue for me! It was also a great= weekend for Blue Ghost Fireflies and some nice odes, herps, birds, mammals= , and wildflowers.
