Santee Delta East WMA. Georgetown County, SC. walked one mile from the Hwy 17 parking area to the first cross dike. May 20, 2026. 10:00-11:20 am. Full sun, 79 F. CBMP route report #2. Dennis Allen. Black Swallowtail 4 Palamedes Swallowtail 1 Orange Sulphur 1 male Pearl Crescent 3 American Lady 1 Monarch 1 Silver-spotted Skipper 10 Horace's Duskywing 4 White Checkered-Skipper 4 (2 males, 2 females) Fiery Skipper 7 (5 males, 2 females) Delaware Skipper 2 (males) Rare Skipper 1 Broad-winged Skipper 38 Salt Marsh Skipper 3 All species (except White Checkered-Skipper) were feeding on Pickerelweed which numbered in the hundreds. Some Fiery Skippers on Vervain. Other than a few Passionflowers, Blackberry, and Elderberry, little else was in bloom. |
