Subject: from the north central South Carolina coast

Santee Delta East. Georgetown County, SC. Walked the 1 mile long CBMP route
(survey #3).

Tropical Checkered-Skipper 2 (males)

Broad-winged Skipper 15

Pickerelweed attracted all Broad-winged, Least, Clouded, Silver-spotted, and
Rare Skippers. Black Swallowtail was on Honeysuckle. Gulf Fritillarys, some
Fiery Skippers, Zarucco Duskywing, and some Pearl Crescents were on Vervain.
Others not observed nectaring. Pickerelweed numbers estimated at 1000 on May
20 were down to about 50 today. Elderberry, a few passion flowers, and the
first rosinweed flowers were among the other bloomers.
