Folks,
Yesterday I spent about 15 minutes looking for leps on the Needmore Game
Lands in Swain County after picking up water samples in the Little
Tennessee River for our microplastics research. Rainy day, but the sun
popped out in the late afternoon and the butterflies started flying. Found
the following:

Diana Fritillary <https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/370166633> - 1
(FOY; male; fresh)
Great Spangled Fritillary - 1
Pearl Crescent - 3
Common Buckeye - 3
Silver-spotted Skipper - 4
Wild Indigo Duskywing - 2 (2 observations in iNaturalist:
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/370170042;
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/370169740)
Little Glassywing - 3 (2 observations in iNaturalist:
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/370169375;
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/370166953)

Also picked up a Blue-ringed Dancer damselfly, which I also submitted to
iNaturalist.

Cheers,
Jason Love
Otto, NC
