Subject: [MassLep] Butterflies Amesbury MA 6-27-26

I took a leisurely walk at Woodsom Farm Amesbury today 6-27-26.
Note: this is an important Grassland Bird breeding area and is maintained for Bobolinks, Eastern Meadowlarks and Sparrows. It is critical to stay on the well maintained mowed paths. Butterflies are easily seen right from the paths.
Baltimore Checkerspots 79 including a pair mating. I also saw one Baltimore Checkerspot caterpillar. The number are those I could count while on the paths but I expect there are at least twice that number of Checkerspots away from the mowed paths.
Monarch 2
Orange Sulphur 1
Clouded Sulphur 6
Cabbage white 4

A few photos have been added to the Mass Butterfly Facebook page.
