I went to Frances Crane to see the Baltimore Checkerspots. I had seen the
catepillars in late May, but had never seen an adult before! I was not
disappointed!

I went early afternoon; it was sunny, hot (80F), and gusty. I made a half
mile loop and saw:

- Baltimore Checkerspots - at least 50, probably more, many nectaring on
the butterfly milkweed: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/377619330
- 1 Black Swallowtail: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/377605734
- 3 American Coppers: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/377605741
- 4 Monarchs
- 1 Coral Hairstreak: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/377605737
- 1 Clouded Sulphur
- 1 Orange Sulphur

Also saw a number of dragonflies, including 1 Halloween
Pennant: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/377605735
