Here are the results of the NABA CSRV Count for July 11, 2026.=C2=A0 Just t=
o clear up some confusion, although the count occurs in what is commonly kn=
own as the CSRA, the NABA designation for the count is the Central Savannah=
River Valley count.=C2=A0 I do not know why it has Valley in the name inst=
ead of Area.=C2=A0 Although the area was in a severe drought, there was som=
e rain in the two days leading up to the count.=C2=A0 Ironically the count =
was cut short by a large, very strong thunderstorm cell that covered the en=
tire count circle.

Below is a comparison of this year's count to the counts of the last 5 year=
s with the Georgia results deleted from the numbers.=C2=A0 I have also decr=
eased the number of species for those years by one as the Broad-winged Skip=
pers are usually not found in Aiken County.

508, 482025, 707, 495 year average, 465.8, 44.82026, 279, 37
The numbers were definitely down this year due to the severe drought.=C2=A0=
Last year's count also ended early because of a thunderstorm that moved th=
rough the area.=C2=A0 Compared to last year we were less than half in numbe=
rs.
