--000000000000d99b5206578dbf0c Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" I walked the Cape Fear River Trail from the Cape Fear Botanical Garden north to the train trestle with the covered bridge/trail, a little over 5 miles out and back. I had my best day of the year so far in terms of diversity, 20 species. The highlight was a Zabulon Skipper, a hard to find species for me in Cumberland County, and my first in the county since 2023. The popular nectar sources were *Verbena brasiliensis* (Brazilian Vervain), *Heliotropium amplexicaule* (Clasping Heliotrope), and *Helenium amarum* (Bitterweed). My list is below. Good butterflying.
