Dennis Allen

Palamedes Swallowtail 3
Cloudless Sulphur 4
Eastern Pygmy-Blue 1
Fiery Skipper 1
Salt Marsh Skipper 150-200 estimated, Concentrated in spots, in constant
motion flower to flower

The skippers were on patches of both Frogfruit (Phyla nodiflora) bordering
mowed parking areas and Swallow Wort/Sand-Vine (Pattalias palustris) along the
road shoulders. Eastern Pygmy-Blue was the only individual seen in about 45
minutes of walking in and around the Salicornia zone in the high salt marsh.
Seaside Dragonlets which numbered in the many hundreds did not seem to bother
the Salt Marsh Skippers but were likely threats to the EP-Bs.
