Highlights were puzzling over the ID of a cloudywing at Bodie Island Lighthouse and stumbling on a small patch of lantana at a business in Whalebone Junction area that was busy with butterflies. Checked the Coinjock public boat ramp on 8/16 but powerlines were mostly sprayed and no mistflower plants could be found; this was the nectar source for the Dukes' Skippers present a few years ago. Palamedes Swallowtail - 1 Red-banded Hairstreak - 1 Common Buckeye - 3 Fiery Skipper - 2 Sachem - 1 8/16, Milepost 9 area, Kill Devil Hills, Dare Co.
