Butterfliers,

Yesterday was the Orange County, NC NABA =
<https://naba.org/butterfly-counts/> (North American Butterfly =
Association) annual Count, coordinated by Lior Carlson and John Jarvis. =
Ryan Chaffee and I covered one portion of the Count, and we had an =
outstanding day, setting new county record highs for Common Sootywing =
and Delaware Skipper, and finding a bonus Checkered White, not reported =
in the county since 2018! =20

Here=E2=80=99s our list (41 species!) under partly cloudy skies and =
temps ranging from upper 70s to low 90s
