--000000000000afb364065ae8ed46 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Good afternoon butterfliers, Today, from about 11-1, I ran my Carolinas Butterfly Monitoring Program survey at Schenck Forest and, as usual, picked up incidentals from the Bandwidth flower garden and NC State Fair parking field. There were clear skies and cooler temps from last week, but it was also quite a bit windier and still very dry. Many butterflies in the field were nectaring on Verbena and Kummerowia (Korean Bushclover). I had a bit lower diversity and lower numbers than last Thursday, with my most notable miss being Common Sootywing, which I had seen 2 of previously.
