Perfect weather today for butterflying =E2=80=94 80s, sunny, and not TOO =
humid=E2=80=A6

I ran two of the Alamance County (NC) surveys today for the Carolinas =
Butterfly Monitoring Program =

and also enjoyed wandering the back yard pollinator garden a few times, =
totaling about 100 minutes. Below is the full list of sightings. =
Monarchs are having a good year in our area this year. However, late =
summer southern immigrants (e.g., Gulf Frit, Little Yellow, Long-tailed =
Skipper, Ocola Skipper, etc.) continue to be virtually lacking (or VERY =
low numbers) in NC this year.
