Most swallowtails, sulphurs, and buckeyes were in motion. All others were on or around small pink pea flowers, medium-sized purple pea flowers, white lythrum, eupatorium, or blazing star. This site was one of many surveyed the previous Saturday Sept. 5 by a team participating in the Hobcaw Barony NABA Count. The results for that survey will be posted when the final tally becomes available. Sightings reported here are very similar to those recorded for the same site on the Sept. 5 Count, except more eyes spotted more metalmarks.
