Last month I noticed that the path around the south meadow had been trimmed back, and on my return last week I noticed that a path had been cut through the middle of that field. I saw 12 Bronze Coppers, mostly one at a time, distributed all around the meadow. I got photos of about 6-8 different individuals, including male and female. Some were relatively fresh while others showed significant wear on their wings. In the two and a half hours I was there, I saw: 12 Bronze Copper 5 Viceroy 5 Monarch 6 Pearl Crescent 2 Eastern-tailed Blue 8+ skippers, including Tawny-edged and Zabulon, but mostly Peck's 1 American Lady 20+ Cabbage White 15+ Clouded Sulphur 10+ Orange Sulphur The Cabbage Whites and Sulphurs were present almost everywhere, often in groups of 2-3 or more.
