Sadly, at my favorite location, Ramparts Field, the deer have eaten all the New England aster. In the past that was a favorite fueling stop. I'm still tagging for U. of Kansas, but the new solar powered transmitters are amazing. You can track individual monarchs with your phone by downloading the Project Monarch app. A monarch launched at Hog Island Maine on August. 26 flew 700 miles as of Sept. 19.
