Subject: [MassLep] Westport/Dartmouth Today

I ventured down to see the Painted Lady show today and to look for my=20
100th specie in Massachusetts today and was not disappointed.

Gooseberry Neck, Westport - 9:50am to 11:50am - 63 to 70 degrees, sunny=20
- As recommended by Matt,=C2=A0 I walked the west side along the beach out =
beyond the 2 cement towers and back the main trail to the parking lot. I=20

Cabbage White - 14

Orange Sulphur - 6

Red Admiral - 1 (worn with about 60% of its wings remaining)

American Lady - 4

Painted Lady - 722 (still an undercount!)

Common Buckeye - 4

Monarch - 26

Allen's Pond MAS, Dartmouth - noon to 12:55pm - 70 degrees, sunny - I=20
walked the fields below the visitors center and the butterfly garden, I saw=

Cabbage White - 4

Clouded Sulphur - 4

Orange Sulphur - 130

Common Buckeye - 3

Painted Lady - 71

Monarch - 6

Sachem - 3

Sylvan Nursery, Dartmouth - 1pm to 1:45pm - 67 degrees, sunny. I saw:

Orange Sulphur - 1

Cloudless Sulphur - 1 (flew from pond area near the back of the Nursery=20
north parallel to the path that has the butterfly bush and over the tree=20
line - large yellow butterfly that could not have been anything else)

Painted Lady - 29

Sorry to have missed Lauren as we must have passed on the road between=20
the MAS and the Nursery.
