Estero Llano Grande State Park Butterfly Walk, Friday Dec 1, 2017

It was warm, mostly sunny, with a light breeze . 15 participants found 48
species during our afternoon walk.

We started by taking the tram down to the Paraque Hall garden to look for
the Blue-eyed Sailor that had been seen the previous 3 days. There had been
two different Blue-eyed Sailors seen but we couldn't locate one. We did see
Guava Skipper, Red- bordered Pixie, Mexican Fritillary, and Zebra
Heliconian.

We also saw the Barn Owl that was spotted earlier.

Malachite, Red Rim, Glazed Pellicia, and Giant White were seen in the park
in the days before the hike.

Thanks to Mike Rickard and Ginny Musgrave for their expert help finding
butterflies.
