Subject: [SoWestLep] Plum Canyon - 2/25/2018

Today we did Plum Canyon in Anza Borrego State Park from 10:18am to 3pm.
Temperatures ranged from 57 to 63 degrees. Only a slight breeze. We
spent almost all of our time in the canyon up from where one must stop
driving and walk. Good activity around that parking area.

We saw:

Desert Black Swallowtail - 1

Spring White - 1

Sara Orangetip - 2

Desert Orangetip - 1 (female)

Bramble Green Hairstreak - 5

Loki Juniper Hairstreak - 1 (fresh)

Gray Hairstreak - 1

Silvery Blue - 1

Sonoran Blue - 8 (all we saw were males - some showed wear)

California Patch - 1

While there we met Gary Meredith, Lee Shoemaker, Bob Gorman and his wife
who provided much help to us and were enjoyable company. Many thanks to
all four.
