You should see the wildflowers growing along the roadsides in Indio now!

I=92ve never seen anything like it. The big slope that rises just north of =
I-10 and Varner Road is usually barren. It=92s now covered in wildflowers. =
There are pools of standing water everywhere, and the roadsides are thick w=
ith various plants and flowers =96 standing five feet tall. Normally there=
=92s nothing green (or alive) out there.

So cold in San Diego. We've been getting a series of storms and It's so col=
d it's raining ice

right now outside my door. Some hail is even finding it's way into my bath=
room through

the ceiling fain vent. They are perfectly cylinder in circumference too. Li=
ke ice BB's.

I was telling Rick that it will be a great wildflower display this year in =
the Colorado Desert.

There will be lots of color for snowbird's camera's and lot's of nectar for=
adult butterflies.

But record rain, cold and frost- and snow-may hijack all the the anticipati=
on somewhat.

Mt Laguna is expecting two feet of snow with this latest storm. The high de=
sert will get some.

The problem is there have not been good warm windows right now to get out t=
here and

see what's going on. I fear that adult butterfly flights are and may be sev=
erely truncated.
