Subject: FOY Monarch (04/17/2020) & Caterpillars (04/28/2020) in Hillsborough, NC
I'm a bit behind in reporting this year's Monarch activity in our backyard
habitat. Our first adult sighting was on April 17, 2020, a very worn female
that I watched fly around the yard ovipositing eggs on the newly emerging
Swamp, Common, and A. tuberosa milkweeds. I've been monitoring the eggs on
various plants and discovered the first hatched eggs yesterday, April 28,
John also had a couple of sightings of a female laying eggs throughout the
yard. He has seen both very worn and fresh specimens.

Also, we have plenty of milkweed plants to provide Caterpillar Support through
our non-profit. Please spread the word that we can supply host plants, either
whole plants or leaves, if someone runs out of food. Our website details which
