Subject: Re: [MassLep] A Great Lep Day here today ...

A couple weeks ago there there a pair of turkey vultures hanging around=20
in my yard--on the deck, on the roof, in trees, the good news is that=20
they -left-.*=C2=A0 I was a lot happier to get a visit by a Cooper's Hawk.

I've seen some cabbage whites and a sulfur the past couple days, but not=20
the swallowtail again.

*I've been told that their excrement is as disgusting as disgusting=20
gets, however, they did not leave load of repulsive stuff around,=20

Meanwhile, I noticed a milkweed plant that looks like it went from=20
nothing yesterday to five inches today sprouting up [small mammals alas=20
ate the other ones which used to show up in my yard--along with chewing=20
chestnut shoots down to the ground in the winter, demolishing blueberry=20
bush, young walnut trees, some young oak trees,=C2=A0 even demolishing YUCC=
PLANTS!=C2=A0 [they leave native black cherries mostly alone....] .=C2=A0=
=C2=A0 I've=20
been thinking about going to the area of the Trader Joe's in Burlington=20
and seeing if there are any milkweed plants next to Middlesex Turnpike=20
and removing them to my yard [since they might get whacked by brush=20
