I did a yard butterfly survey today.=C2=A0 I started 12:47 PM and quit at 1=
:30 PM.=C2=A0 The following is a list of what I saw.

Gulf Fritillary Butterflies 8

Gulf Fritillary Caterpillars 46 (minimum)

Ocola Skippers 10

Cloudy Skipper 1

Dun Skipper 1

Fiery Skipper 1

Cloudless Sulphurs 6

The caterpillars were all on Blue Passionflower vines (Passiflora caerulea)=
as the Purple Passionflower vines (Passiflora incarnata) have been strippe=
d clean for at least two weeks.=C2=A0 During the survey I saw a female Gulf=
Fritillary butterfly laying eggs on the Blue Passionflower vines.=C2=A0 We=
have had the Blue Passionflowers for probably at least 15 years and they a=
re quite substantial.=C2=A0 This is only the second year for the Purple Pas=
sionflower vines.
