Today --- Nov. 17 -- Lori Arent, Lori White, and I saw a somewhat tattered
Red-spotted Purple at Jordan Lake in western Wake County. There are a few
later dates, but this is a quite late date for it. We saw it gliding
through trees in a bottomland and were hoping it was a Mourning Cloak --
which I haven't seen in about 4-5 years. No such luck.

The only other species seen this morning was a Sleepy Orange. Sadly, no
Zebra Longwing or Evening Grosbeak.=F0=9F=98=A2
