Somewhat earlier than the date listed for the county on the Butterflies of
NC website, a zebra swallowtail flew past my geology lab demonstration on
the Gardner-Webb campus this afternoon. I know there are pawpaws a few
miles away at the Broad River Greenway but haven't searched for them in the
woodlands closer to campus.
