Early afternoon in Polk County mountains, Tryon Peak and White Oak Mountain
areas where the higher elevations were like early March back home, 19 miles
further south and 2000' feet lower elevation-
19 Tiger Swallowtail
10 Spicebush Swallowtail
5 Zebra Swallowtail
1 Cloudless Sulphur
4 Falcate Orangetip
2 Summer Azure
4 Pearl Crescent
1 Silver-spotted Skipper FOY
2 unid Duskywings

Spent just 15 minutes around 3 PM near home at the overgrown soybean farm
left fallow last year. Was disappointed to see no Checkered Whites after
hundreds last October and several during early March warm spell-
1 Tiger Swallowtail
1 Spicebush Swallowtail
19 Orange Sulphur
6 Sleepy Orange
1 Cloudless Sulphur
2 American Lady
1 Common Checkered Skipper FOY
