Lauren and I took a couple hours to see if we could find any red banded
hairstreaks at Great Neck Audubon in Wareham today. 1:30-3:30pm, sunny,
high 70's.

No red bandeds there unfortunately. They need some good fall nectar
plants. The few goldenrod plants we found were being taken up by american
coppers.

Overall we found a bunch of nice species though!

1 common buckeye (missing most of it's hindwings)
20+ eastern tailed blues
30+ american coppers
1 skipper (sp) possibly northern broken dash
1 long dash (second brood?)
2 pearl crescents
1 cloudless sulphur flyover
2 gray hairstreaks
1 summer azure
