Encountered the following during the late afternoon: Eastern Tiger Swallowtail - 3 Pipevine Swallowtail - 1 Pearl Crescent - 3 Carolina Satyr - 1 Summer Azure - 1 Appalachian Azure - 1 (large azure in rich forest with abundant host plant Black Cohosh nearby) West Virginia White - 3 Dusky spp - 1 (too far away to I.D.)
