Hi all,
I spent a couple of hours on the Mayo River at the Anglin Road access, most= ly looking for odes, and had an interesting skipper find. Here's the list:
Zebra Swallowtail - 2 E. Tiger ST - 5 Spicebush ST - 2 E. Tailed-blue - 3 Summer Azure - 2 Red-spotted Purple - 1 Silvery Checkerspot - 1 Pearl Crescent - 5 Carolina Satyr - 7 Silver-spotted Skipper - 3 Duskywing - 1 worn, probably Juvenal's Sachem - 2 Zabulon Skipper - 4 PEPPER & SALT SKIPPER - 1 nectaring on bluets, surprised to find this is a = new county record and looks like the first recorded in the Piedmont in over= 10 years!
On the ode front, I was looking for Edmund's Snaketail, as I have done here= for several years, and finally saw my first ones, getting some nice photos= too.
