Cherry and I recently returned from 12 days in the US and Canadian Rocky
Mountains. In another post, I will send picks of 'alpine' butterflies I
managed to get along with the most spectacular scenery I could imagine.
After getting home though, I had a silly accident and broke my left leg so
now more or less out of action. Just the same, a small bit of butterfly news
.

At Adams Farm 9 Sept ..

Monarch adults 3 ( Nectaring at Butterfly
Bush & Zinnias)

Spicebush Swt cats 4 ( Left in sleeves and still
feeding on Sassafras)

Spicebush Swt Chrysalides 6 ( Left in sleeves as cats but
pupated while away with no eclosures)

At Hanson, MA; 3 Sept photo by Deborah Swanson with Pic sent 9 Sept to
myself and Jeff Boettner for id .

Pipevine Swt 1( Very damaged but clearly
identifiable)

Don Adams
