Hi all,

I took a trip to Florida week before last and made a couple of stops in Jas=
per County on the way back, on the 12th. Most of the time was spent on Purr=
ysburg Road near the I-95 bridge, always a great hotspot with lots of Biden=
s alba, and a good indicator of how butterflies are doing overall. I also s=
topped at a site along US 17 close to the state line with lots of Marsh Fle=
abane.

US 17 site:
Cloudless Sulphur - 1
Gray Hairstreak - 1
Gulf Fritillary - 3
Long-tailed Skipper - 3
Ocola Skipper - 2 surprised to see no Salt Marsh Skippers
Fiery Skipper - 2
Broad-winged Skipper - 2

Purrysburg Road:
E. Tiger Swallowtail - 2
Spicebush ST - 1
Little Yellow - 1
Sleepy Orange - 3
Cloudless Sulphur - abundant
Gray Hairstreak - 1
Red-banded HS - 5
Monarch - 1
Gulf Fritillary - abundant
Zebra Longwing - 5 didn't see a one in 5 days in Florida!
Buckeye - 2
Pearl Crescent - 2
Silver-spotted Skipper - 5
Long-tailed Skipper - 2 low for this area
Horace's Duskywing - 2
Ocola Skipper - 10
Lace-winged Roadside-skipper - 2
Eufala Skipper - 1
Clouded Skipper - 5
Fiery Skipper - 4
Whirlabout - 3
Little Glassywing - 2
Byssus Skipper - 1
Dun Skipper - 1
Twin-spot Skipper - 3

Much of my time in Florida was plagued by bad weather but I still saw a few=
goodies. I'm still posting some photos from the trip.
