Here is a link to a graphic comparing an old Nymphalis antiopa lintnerii specimen collected in winter in Mississippi with a fresh Ontario specimen. Interesting that the old bug does not show the same degree of fading (relative to the fresh bug) as in the N. antiopa hyperborea example I shared yesterday. https://flic.kr/p/2obhuMG
