All,

Donna and I spent about 3 hours yesterday and walked/drove 2.5 mi on the
unpaved portion of Hyde Park Road from its juncture with Hwy 165 to the 1st
bridge south of that juncture. It was 73 f and calm and despite being
overcast we had a number of butterflies especially on blooming Fleabane
and Chinquipin;
We had:
Spicebush Swallowtail 1
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail 6
Cabbage White 1
Red-banded Hairstreak 2
Gray Hairstreak 2
Oak Hairstreak 2
Banded Hairstreak 1
Hairstreak sp.
American Snout 2
Monarch 1
American Lady 3
Common Buckeye 2
Pearl Crescent 4
Horace's Duskywing 8
Dion Skipper 1
Fiery Skipper 1
Northern Broken-Dash 1
Little Glassywing 1
Twin-spot Skipper 1

Good butterflying
