Guilford County - Jamestown 5-24-2023

Marie Poteat

The weather was absolutely beautiful and perfect for working outside
today which also turned out to be a great day for butterflies. I saw the
majority of the ones on the list today from about 11 - 2. The Banded
Hairstreaks were all seen in the same location at the same time and I
included several pictures with one with 3 individuals. They were really
putting on a show this morning and I got the pictures when they rested
before taking off again. The Eastern Pine Elfin was seen about 12:30 and
was so busy nectaring that I was able to get very close for a couple
of pictures.
