Though there were lots of butterflies, and they ARE watering the plants -- owing to a mini-drought here, with less than about 0.2" of rain in over 2 weeks -- nearly all were sulphurs/whites and two skipper species. Where are the brushfoots? Nary a Pearl Crescent, a lady, Monarch, and only 2 frits -- both Variegateds and just 2 buckeyes; and no nymphalids (hairstreaks/blues). The weather was perfect -- sunny and getting hot; 9:10 - 10:40. I did get a variety of singleton skippers to salvage the list! Pipevine Swallowtail 3 Black Swallowtail 3 both sexes Spicebush Swallowtail 1 female, but nary an E.
