Butterfliers

Sorry for the late post but I had to verify some pics (Thanks Harry) and run down to FL to see the Gray Gull. Life is good!

Fri Sept 8th, sunny, south 10mph, high 80s

Last Sept there were so many different skippers out on Alligator River NWR, I returned and concentrated out near the bombing range. Main nectar sources were Chinese Bushclover, Blue Mistflower, Partridge Pea and Sneezeweed.

This was just a one mile walk one way on an overgrown roadway but it took me over 4 hrs. 24 species and probably missed a few since I get so bogged down with the skippers but they are my favorite.
