Hi Carol and all, Linda is 100% correct, this is a Pentatomid, a.k.a stinkbug (not shield bug= though, that=E2=80=99s a different family, Scutelleridae). More specifical= ly, this looks like an Anchor Stinkbug (Stiretrus anchorago).
