The latest checklist of North American Lepidoptera (Pohl & Nanz, 2023)=20 treat them as separate species and they list 6 subspecies. They=20 therefore accept the findings of Zhang et al (2022): Taxonomic Report of=20 the International Lepidoptera Survey 10(7):1-60, which used whole genome=20 DNA sequencing to delineate the species and subspecies.
